DESCRIPTION:Our next Sunday drive is Sunday 20th September to Jarrahdale Tavern\, this replaces the August 16th drive “Cancelled” due to weather. \nMeet at McDonalds Ascot Waters by 10:45am for an 11am departure. \nJarrahdale Tavern \n640 Jarrahdale Road \nJarrahdale \nSituated in the historic timber town of Jarrahdale\, the original structure dates back to 1894 and has been refurbished whilst retaining its original charm. The pub is located on one of the highest points in the area and overlooks the beautiful jarrah forest and is surrounded by two big verandas and has a large shaded beer garden and a grassed area. There are wood fires burning in the bar and the left veranda and judging by the forecast for Sunday at the moment\, that looks like the place to be. (Let’s hope W.A. Is still bug free). \nAs before this event is a run from Mundaring to York to join in with The York Motor Show; this year on Sunday 13th September 2020. I hope you can join us in your Classic Fibreglass car; but if not you are welcome in something else\, but please park a little distant for photo reasons. \n  \nI NEED: who is coming so please email me by 31/8/20 if you plan to join us. If you are part of a Club or other Group your official may prefer to discuss at a meeting and let me know total numbers. It would be nice to know car details: year/ make/model. \n  \nSTART: Meet at the Shire of Mundaring\, Administration Centre carpark at 8 am for a 8.15am off. This carpark is on the South West end of the town centre on Great Eastern Highway. \nIf you approach Mundaring from Perth you will be in a 80kph zone\, take the first driveway to the RIGHT after the 60kph sign (before the 50kph sign and the Puma servo). This carpark should be empty\, except for us. We need to leave early as The Show starts at 9am & we have our own area. The area we used to have down by the Avon River is not available as the Council is re-developing that whole grassed area. You will be directed to our area; just shout out “FIBREGLASSICS!” when you get to the official directing vehicles. For the reason above it is MOST important this year that I can give the organisers an idea of how many cars we have and thus they can allocate an area to suit. So please email me by 31/8/20 if you plan to go and in what year/make/model car. \n  \nTHE DRIVE: Leave Mundaring as you please from 8.15am and turn right at The Lakes to take the lovely country drive to York in the Avon Valley. This road has had a lot of work done over the past few years and is quite good now. Please observe speed limits as the York cops will be looking and a speed camera is guaranteed!! \n  \nTHE YORK MOTOR SHOW:  (See poster attached) This event has been going for a many years and is organised by the W.A. Veteran Car Club’s York Division. It is an easy going affair with cars able to come and go as they please\, but make sure you drive slowly and carefully in town as there will be many visitors wandering around the cars and stalls. \nOnce again I will need numbers so let me know if you plan to come and in what car if you wish to join the FibreGlassics Display area. Follow directions from the official to our reserved area. \nYou can lunch where you like\, or bring a picnic. The Castle Hotel has lots of room and has a pizza oven in the courtyard. \n  \nHOME JAMES: You can leave as you wish but remember the York cops would much rather book an out-of-towner and I’ve been warned by a local that they will be looking! Also a camera car is guaranteed. \n  \nPlease forward on to other interested owners.
