DESCRIPTION:Dear Members\,\n\nThe 2026 Perth Classic Car Show is fast approaching and will be held next Sunday\, 19 April at Robinson Reserve\, Tuart Hill (formerly held at Ascot Racecourse).\n\nThis year’s new venue offers more space\, better access\, and a fantastic park setting\, along with food vendors\, trade stalls\, live entertainment\, and a licensed area — it’s shaping up to be one of the best shows yet.\n\nClub Display & Numbers\nWe have space allocated for approximately 30–35 Corvettes and currently have 25 cars registered\, so there is still room for a few more. Our lineup now includes everything from C1 through to the C8\, so we will have a fantastic representation of Corvettes on display. If you are planning to attend and display your car\, please let me know as soon as possible so we can finalise our numbers.\n\nEntry Details (Important)\nGate: Green Gate (entry via Waterloo Street)\n• Arrival Time: Between 7:30am and 8:30am (strictly enforced staggered entry)\n• Coffee and food trucks will be onsite and open from this time\n• Please ensure you arrive within this window and use the correct gate as per event instructions.\n\nClub Location & Map\nYou can view the event layout\, including our club position and entry points\, via the following link:\n\nMap – Click Here\n\nOn the Day\n\n• We have a great shaded location\n• Club gazebos will be set up\n• Please bring a chair and anything else you may need for a comfortable day\n• Members are requested to wear club apparel to present a strong and unified display\n• Please remember that\, as with previous shows\, no vehicle movement is permitted between 10:00am and 3:00pm\n\nClub Apparel\nOur jackets and the latest apparel order has arrived. DESCRIPTION:Hi all\, we are having another HOIST / SAFETY CHECK / SWAP MEET / 404 CHECK at my workshop in Warwick. \nAll going well with the weather\, we have chosen SATURDAY THE 12TH OF SEPTEMBER with a start time of 8.30 \nPlease make contact for the address. \n1. Access to the hoist to put your Corvette up and have a good look and do a visual safety check\n2. We will also do a check on wheel bearings\, suspension and brakes.\n3. Swap meet. Bring along any parts you have lying around and make some extra cash for fuel. Have your\nname and a price on the parts to make things easier.\n4. We will be doing a 404 check on vehicles on 404 to make sure as a club we compliant with the rules. This is\nnot so much as a mechanical check but just a compliance check that no modifications have\nbeen done since the last inspection. \nWe will also be doing a Decibel competition of your exhaust if you want to compete or just curious how loud your\nexhaust is. This is done by bringing up your revs to 3000 rpm and measuring with a decibel meter. \nBBQ\, tea and coffee will be provided. DESCRIPTION:The Grandies Big Day Out Festival\, which was always a club favourite with our cars parked outside the Shipwrecks Museum and free fish and chips for lunch\, is unfortunately no longer going ahead. \nThe good news is that we’ve been invited to attend the WA Day Festival in Fremantle instead\, on Sunday 11 October. \nI am told that the car park next to Kailis will be cordoned off for our club to display our Corvettes. I’m still waiting on confirmation of exactly how much space will be available and how many cars we can accommodate. \nThis is shaping up to be another very popular day\, so places will be limited – first in gets a spot! Make sure you get your name down early to secure your place. \nMembers who display their Corvette on the day will receive a voucher for lunch. \nFrom what I’ve been told\, this event will be bigger and better with even more entertainment throughout the day than at the Grandies Big Day Out Festival in previous years – so don’t miss this one! \nI will confirm further details as soon as they become available.
