The annual spectacle known as the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction is already underway out in Arizona. With that, we continue to browse the extensive Corvette catalog available throughout the week. Here’s a cool custom C2 that’ll be crossing the block in the next couple of days.

Lot #1343 is a fantastic custom 1963 coupe assembled by Burning River Resto-Mods out of Berea, Ohio. It’s powered by the famous 6.2-liter, 650hp LT4 supercharged engine of C7 Z06 fame. That thumping engine is backed by a 6L80E transmission.

This gray over red Sting Ray rides on a powder-coated Art Morrison chassis featuring various chrome components throughout. RideTech adjustable coilovers smooth things out while cruising down the road. Wilwood 14-inch brakes with 6-piston calipers are mounted up front and 4 piston caliper reside out back. The whole package rides on Schott Fuel wheels – 19 inchers in the front and 20 inchers in the rear.

While the exterior modifications are subtle, we see more extensive changes inside and underneath this C2. Inside, a custom transmission tunnel was fabricated and a lengthened floor was installed for more legroom. Look closely and you’ll see the smoothed firewall and fender closeouts.

The exterior features LED headlights, a linear-actuated power hood, and smoked glass in addition to the custom gray metallic paint and period side exhaust. The interior was treated with sound deadening materials before being fitted with miles of custom red leather. All of the interior panels feature custom fabricated styling and integrated lighting. The ambience created by that lighting and the Dakota Digital gauges is something we don’t see often in these custom builds.
