We know that GM is testing the E-Rays now in Detroit, and the team seems to be expanding its test fleet as the E-Ray captured here is built in Right Hand Drive configuration for export. The widebody hybrid sports car was dressed in its camouflage wrapping and its “Starfish” wheels are covered with the round wheel covers. The Accelerate Yellow side mirrors however tell us exactly what color that camo is hiding.

Now that we’ve seen the uncovered car from last week’s visualizer leak, we can instantly identify the unique E-Ray front fascia on the car. Those floating trim pieces around the air scoops and front radiators are very distinctive as is the top middle trim piece that will hold the front license plate bracket.
Moving down the side of the car, we can’t really see the side intake trim here but the car does have a set of side rocker panels.

The back is interesting as we see the corner-mounted exhaust with the LT2 exhaust tips and the rear vents appear to be black instead of the Accelerate Yellow body color that we see on the side mirrors. The car is also missing any kind of rear spoiler including the default Z06-style deck spoilers that were on all E-Ray visualizer photos.

GM Authority reported earlier this week that the E-Ray would be offered for export in Right Hand Drive configurations which isn’t that big of a scoop considering that GM is also selling the Stingray and Z06 models in RHD as well. But it’s nice that customers in these RHD markets that include Australia, New Zealand, England, and Japan will have multiple choices when it comes to ordering their favorite Corvette model.
