Ok, this is pretty cool!

The all-new Z06 GT3.R race cars start production just like our C8 Corvettes do with the frame being constructed at the Corvette Assembly Plant in Bowling Green, KY.

Tommy writes the following on his FB page, “Chassis 1 Z06 GT3.R went back to where it started life right off the line at Bowling Green. Special day to get a tour of the facility and show the men and women who make these production cars and engines.“

Corvette Racing just wrapped up its pre-Daytona testing last week. We’ll see the Yellow and Black Z06 GT3.R racers back in action for the Roar Before the 24 where the teams will get in a few practice sessions and then compete for the Rolex 24 at Daytona’s Pole position with qualifying held on Sunday January 21st.
